Dr Jess Batt
Veterinarian
Hi, I’m Jess, owner of Gold City Vets and one of the Veterinarians. I have an interest in companion animals and everything that comes with them. I enjoy my job because it is hands-on and varies every day.
I really thrive on critical care work as it presents a challenge and it makes me happy sending patients home to their loved ones.
As a vet, I pride myself on patient care and excellent communication with owners to achieve the best outcome for the family. It is incredibly important to me for an owner to be fully informed about their animal’s health and the options that they have in both preventative care as well as treatment of illness or injury.
As a business owner, I am proud of our community involvement through Cat Rescue, sponsorship of sports teams, participation in work experience programs, youth mentoring and many other ways.
I look forward to caring for your pets,
Dr Jess Batt.

Veterinarian
Hey, my name is Ann, and I’m one of the vets that joined the Gold City Vets team at the start of 2023.
I graduated from JCU in Townsville in 2021 and completed my first year out in Innisfail. I love to do everything! From meeting your fur babies with routine visits, to helping you help them when they need it the most. I especially love all things surgery and making sure your pets have the most positive experience from the time they walk through the door to the second they go home.
I genuinely believe I have one of the most rewarding jobs because every single day is different, and we are in this never-ending circle of learning how to take better care of your animals. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!

I have a keen interest in surgical nursing – from admitting your animal in the morning, through to monitoring their anaesthetic and ensuring a smooth and safe recovery, where they walk out the door with a smile.
